Hello. Last time i heard is that Tetenal is moving their factory and they will not be able to produce their products until 2022.

May i ask anyone knows when they will finish their moving and be back in service?

Thank you.

Tetenal went under. But a new entity had been erected, Tetenal 1847, that with a fraction of people produced some products out of the former product range. Their range has grown since their erection, adding even new products.

Perhaps "resumption" might be a better term :whistling:

No, my own wording. If you would know German than would realise that it is a Germanism.

But... you know-it-better native speakers, be aware not to stick out your heads too far out...

In various dictionaries I now checked for the appropriate german term the englisch term erection indeed is given!
However for a physical occurrance. For an abstract occurrance I better should have used establishment.

I will not send a Private Conversation to AgX referencing the other very common, everyday meaning of the term he used - I just won't!
Because it might make me blush!

From my experience you have very delicate sensitivities.

I see Tetenal chemicals in stock everywhere, it's the only brand I use for fixer, stop bath, paper developer and rinsing aid for film. Is it all Tetenal "1847" ? What products are supposed to be missing ?

They grossly reduced their overall range of selfmade products.

Concerning their amateur B&W range they meanwhile have about the same number of products as 10 years ago. Some missing, some new ones added. Recently they added Sodiumthiosulphate-fixer, something that had completely vanished years ago at all manufactures around.

I'm very happy for Tetenal being still around, they were the very first quality producer of photo chemistry I used when I started my venture as an amateur photographer in 1992 if my memory serves me right...

p.s. @AgX, Kodak and Foma have been offering Sodiumthiosulphate-fixer without interruption to this day.

I stand corrected then, but I do not rember having seen such for many years listed at retail, and a check at one major retailer was to no avail.

I am seeing that many products from their professional line are sold under Calbe brand. I don't know if this is somerhing recent or it has been always like this. For example, Tetenal C-41 CD-R SP45 is Calbe C-41 CD-R RTU or Tetenal Unicolor Superfix FX-VR is Calbe RA FX-R RTU.

-) Tetenal once made much more products than you seemingly realize.

-) Calbe is a very long established manufacturer (over 50 years), with similar production means as Tetenal had. They once made part of the ORWO combine, producing their processing baths.
And as such since decades manufacture Kodak-standard processing baths for commercial users.

-) Calbe use their current bath designations since at least ten years.

I got no idea what makes you think that such manufacturer should take over something from Tetenal.

Same presentantion (2x5 and 2x3 liters of concentrates respectively), same replenishment rates, almost the same designation and low availability of Tetenal SP45. I was able to compare the datasheet of Calbe and Tetenal products and dilutions for working solutions are different, so I was wrong in my assumption.

The Calbe C-41 concentrates were long time offered in several (more than your two) packagings and in two replenishing rates. And I do not see "almost same designation" as extraordinary, when F=Fixer and R=Replenisher and both letters are used by both manfacturers.

Interesting observation. Maybe it is just "german"...

(Aside the fact that "colour-developer", "replemisher" all are Englisch terms.)

I’ve been waiting for their E6 chemicals to be back in stock in the US and nothing! Freestyle said Oct. 14th and that date came and went and that’s it. Anybody knows anything about the E6 chemicals or what’s going on?

I am waiting desperately for E6 too. Fotoimpex mentioned November 22nd, but this date was postponed several times in the past.
Annoying but understandable, given the current shortages.
