When did roll films begin having the start Arrow?

In the event my super old rolls don't have the arrow, I do have two very nice red window folders I can run them through.

Well... I've got the second best option- A Yashica 44. Just need to line the number 1 up in the window and I'm set.
Not a bad option--nice camera and a LOT less hassle to fix than a Baby.

I have to load and advance my Fujica GA645zi "blind" because the backplate screen is kaput. I have counted that 35-40 turns of the electronic winder takes me to the first frame and that 4 turns advances to the next frame!
