Well you don't flood it with the mixture. A little goes a long way. It's a quick fix for an inexpensive camera. Obviously if the camera is special or means something to you, you would want to have it serviced professionally by someone who has parts and experience who would do a whole tear down. But this is at an expense of time and money. Someone who just got an inexpensive tlr for cheap and just wants to get it going for a few rolls can pop the lens cells off and go at it and be ready to go in 15minutes without having to tear it down and probably have to replace the leather getting to the shutter. It's nowhere near perfect but it works for the time being.
