There are two contact sheets inserted as attachments.
One is made with my Pentax KX camera, which is the normal looking one.
The second one is made with my newly repaired Leica M2, which is the one with all sorts of problems.
It's the same type of film, from the same batch, and before you ask - they were processed together in the same processing tank, it is not a processing error.

Based on the contact sheets shown, what is, in your estimation, the problem with this particular Leica camera?

Thanks.

It's not a light leak, but something is happening every time you advance to the next frame.

Thanks for taking a look, Kevin.

If you look closely at frame 20, for example, there is plus density on the right side of the frame, even over the sprocket holes. How can that be, unless there is a light leak? I'm curious how you reached your conclusion.

Usually a light leak will only show up for frames where the camera is pointing in the same direction relative to the sun, but this film contains a wide range of subjects in different lighting conditions. Also, a very recent post had a similar problem. But it's also strange that your early frames don't show the problem and it starts happening mid-roll.

Looks like 2 problems. Some issue with shutter capping during wind... Plus a light leak somewhere. Is the back in good shape? Do you have another M2 to compare it with?

I think that it got newly broken at the repair shop and that there's now a light leak.

The repair person, who shall remain unnamed, is taking care of the problem thankfully. It appears that my camera was in moderately poor condition due to heavy use, and a lot of the internal gears and such were worn out.
I think we're replacing the chassis on it.
