Supposedly, the worst Nikkor made. Returned the 200/4, since I'd never used it after buying it. Picked up a 43-86, since there were no body caps to be found for my F3. Paid $14.50, plus tax for it. AI version, so not as bad as the original chrome filter ring version.

A stepper motor and micro controller kit to help life cycle test an iris for a lens I'm designing. The iris needs to survive ~250,000 actuations with minimal wear.

I'm the happy owner of Canon EOS-1V, and EOS-1N cameras (no battery grips - I like them small) and both a 50/1.4 and 24/2.8 lenses. I've added to my digital gear to get back into film photography, and am currently testing the cameras by shooting through ten rolls of Fuji Superia. The results so far have been very promising!

Now that is interesting and somewhat thought provoking. I have almost always thought of camera wear with regard to shutter firings and almost nothing else, I don't believe I have ever given much thought, maybe none at all actually, to the iris wear factor.

I once saw the 4x5 version at Glazer's Camera in Seattle. It was a solid-feeling and well-made little guy. I must admit I was tempted, if for no other reason than the simplicity.

One of my favorite cameras. I have an opportunity to buy the 30mm fisheye Hasselblad lens in Ugly condition for a little over $1,000US, but I think it is of very limited use for me and I would never use it as much as I use the SWC.

A couple of things from our friends at B&H: 3 bricks of 120 PanF+, 3 bricks of 35mm Tri-X, 2x100 sheets of PrintFile archival pages in each of 35mm and 120 sizes, 4 packages of Tiffen lens cleaning tissue and several pairs of cotton gloves. Probably do another black and white film order shortly (more PanF+ and TMax100 in 120, as well as more Tri-X in 35mm) as our Canadian dollar continues dropping against the USD.
