what waS your last photography related purchase?

a 4x5 Tintype kit. Have a neice and nephew coming to visit soon, and I thought they might enjoy learning it.

I made a mistake in buying a Canon 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM lens with a EF-M adapter.. when I mounted this big lens on the small camera, there's a bit more weight to this than I'm willing to carry. I've since sent back the 85mm lens even without using it. Not only was the lens heavy, but focal range was wrong.. I was looking for a true 85mm lens but when placed on a crop sensor camera I was gaining 120mm lens. I will miss the bokeh, but I think I can make up for it as I just ordered a Sigma 56mm lens w/ a M mount for my Canon M6. I'll get mem first chance at using the Sigma in a few weeks. Also ordered 3 more rolls of the Kodak Tri-x 400 for the Holga 120n and the list doesn't stop there. got a Cokin red filter for the Holga and dug out my ND filter for the Sigma. Sadly I still haven't gotten a new tri pod and I'm using a bent up mannequin head stand found in the trash in conjunction with a pergear ball joint camera mount.

I got this last Saturday. Camera is nice. Shutter speed on the slow side.

I was forced, against my will, mind you, to buy an nearly perfect Leica M4 that Sherry Krauter had just CLAed. I didn't want to, but, well, I had to. It shoots like butter and I still ended up spending only a fraction of what an MA or M6 costs.

Dropped by a Habitat Restore Shop in Penticton BC and found a like new Lloyds Bulk Film Loader for cheap. The bonus was when I got home I found that it had over half a roll of film in it. Now to find out whether the film is any good.

I designed some models for Toho lens boards, and had them 3D printed. $60 for 9 boards is pretty cheap.
I looked at printed boards but worry about integrity. I just paid $20 for a metal Linhof and $80 for a metal adapter board.

Hope it works for you and I just worry too much.

A set of screw in filter caps from URTH to protect my so costly Schneider Center-Filter.
And a pair of these famous blue filter pouches, made by Schneider too, for my 82mm B&W contrast filters.

Sorry for the trauma! You shouldn't hang out in disreputable places... like here...

yeah, I prefer metal, but the only metal boards available are from SK Grimes for $125 each. I'm sure they're great, but at that price I can't afford them.

The prettiest M camera! I have one. Like you against my will.

Looks great!!

I tell ya, I was FORCED to do it. I resisted as long as I can, but it's hard to turn down an almost perfect (nearly collectable) M4 that Sherry just CLAed.

So now I have an M2, M4, and M5. All I need is an M3 and I have the perfect set of early Ms ...

This place is terrible for my finances ...

A black Nikkormat FT3 with an AI 50mm f/2 arrived today. Needs seals and mirror foam. Meter untested. It will probably become my "car camera" if the meter works.

A black Nikkormat FT3 used to be a highly desirable tool, if memory serves me.

Orderd a couple of the new LEE ProGlass grad ND filters (0.6 medium and 0.9 hard). I've tried glass grads from other manufacturers and they don't stay put in my LEE filter holder (too thin/heavy for the runners to impart enough friction, so creep downwards). From product shots these look thicker so hopefully will work properly. If so I'll be retiring my aged resin set, many of which have become discoloured.
