what waS your last photography related purchase?

Finally took the plunge as I have been looking/saving for many years for a Canon FD L 85 f1.2 lens. Did not want the gamble that it takes on eBay and I found a bargain lens on KEH whom I have done successful dealings with for many years. First roll I did in my Canon EF camera turned out fantastic with very nice results but the film I used wasn't that great (Ultrafine Finesse 400) but the focus was exactly as it should have been. Looking forward to using on all of my Canon cameras so I guess Xmas came early for me.

A most desired Bronica ETRS PE 40mm f4 to complete my ETRS kit. Been wanting one for a very long time and finally got the chance to get one on great condition and great price.

Lets see how much different it is from the 50mm that I have.

A Leica IIIf with strap and body cap. The camera is in excellent condition, and will use the lenses from my Canon P. Now to find an auxiliary VF so I can use the P's 35 and 100mm lenses in addition to the P's 50mm which is mounted on the Leica now.

went on a bit of an ebay bender to drown my sorrows after missing out on a $700 sinar p kit with tons of accessories worth around $2000.

Hilarious! I managed to NOT buy another 35mm camera that I won't use last night. I'm trying to stay off Ebay until the new year. That will be a miracle.

I get a high with every delivery. If I go too long between deliveries, I start chasing FedEx, UPS, Post Office and DHL trucks down the street. I do not know what I will do if I ever catch one!

It never hurts to window shop. Well, it hurts the wallet/bank account a bit, but still

My problem is that at 10pm, laying around, looking at the beautiful things, I can convince myself that $450 isn't a big purchase, especially when I have just discovered something that I had no intention of buying 10 minutes earlier

You might like the FSU turret viewfinder better than the Leica version, especially as you're willing to use non Leica Glass for shooting

I used it on my IIIC, with the FSU 39 ltm lenses and it was very good and simple to use.

Like the Leica viewfinder, the turret, mounts in the cold shoe

I just scored a Sekonic L-558 in mint condition at Value Village (thrift store here in Canada). It was tagged at $175. Tuesdays are senior discount days, so I got 30% off. With taxes, it cost me $138.

Well I snapped today. I figured FedEx will be in the neighborhood and the drivers get helpers this time of year

I think I know how you found out about it

I found a Leitz 35mm to 135mm viewfinder at a good price. While I'm hardly a purist, I'll take Leitz stuff if its reasonably priced. I don't think I can afford Leitz lenses, though!

I just got my IIIf back from Ye after a complete CLA. Works like new now. I had this one 20-ish years and expect to use it for a long long time with the new (to me) 50mm f/2 Summi I just bought for this purpose.

I mostly shoot MF and LF, but there are times I want the immediacy of 35mm. For most things, my stable of old and venerable Nikons does that trick, but the IIIf is so small and unobtrusive that I find myself tucking it into my pocket for "just -in-case-I-see-something" shots.

P.S. Ye is THE man ...

I'm buying a bunch of UV filters at the moment until all my lenses have a clear filter in front of them; just givesme a good fuzzy feeling.

Smart.
