what waS your last photography related purchase?

A relatively ancient Spyder4Express monitor calibration colourimeter thingamajig.
Thankfully, there is software for it from the DataColor site.
It was a risk, in that the Hospital Foundation Thrift Store does not take returns.
But at $4.00 plus tax, I figured that at the worst, it would just be a $4.00 donation to a cause I already am happy to support.
And it seems to have at least functioned - the screen on the first laptop screen is definitely, if subtly, different.
I'm hoping that, if nothing else, it will help me get more consistent results when I move from computer to computer.
Up to now, I've only been using the visual calibration tools built into Windows.

Found a Omega B8 locally for about $70. Will need a good 105mm lens for it since I plan on using it for 6x9, maybe 6x7 too.

My Rozeann has bought me three 24 count packs of Harris Teeter AA batteries and one of AAA, on sale for just under $5 U.S. that are normally $11+.

They are five years of life remaining on what looks to be a ten year lifespan promise and work as promised.

These are handy to have on hand for that rare time when seven to ten or more Vivitar 283 and 285 flash units are needed, which becomes more and more unlikely as time goes on, but the batteries at this price are worth having to hand.

IMO.

Nikon S2.

Reality So Simple 6x9 Pinhole camera, 2 rolls FP4+, 2 rolls HP5, 2 rolls SFX200, 1 red filter (for the SFX200).

Another 100 sheet box of 8 x 10 Ilford MGRC Deluxe Glossy.

New guitar, it improves my photographic vision. Trouble is it came with bent headstock, Thomann ... not so good at handling own misdeeds. Story continues, no intention to update here though

A set of three extension tubes in EF fitting. I only went to the shop to pick up a freebie due to me from a previous purchase. I guess the freebie earned them this sale.

I found the the negatives from that unloved Takumar telephoto were actually very, very good. Great color and very sharp. They were so good in fact that I printed just about all of the few negatives I had from that lens.

Lots of people assume that slower, less expensive lenses won't compare to faster, more expensive lenses -- when the opposite is true. Slower lenses are lens expensive because they don't have as much glass -- so they don't have as much aberration. I have a Minolta ROKKOR-X 50mm f1.2 and a Minolta ROKKOR-X 50mm f2.0. If I want the best quality, I use the f2.0.

I took a gamble on a Konica c35 ef for $10. I think it's a paper weight. I also scooped up a Canon ef 50mm 1.8 stm new in box for $70.

I mug that I got inspiration from a Photrio photograph in a thread. Ordered two for myself and one for a friend.

I shoot people!

After enjoying two glasses of wine last night I stumbled upon a comment by @MattKing about the Sekor 65mm f/3.5 for Mamiya TLRs. The pain of not owning that lens overwhelmed me in that moment. As luck would have it, I already had eBay opened in the adjacent tab in my browser. Today I have received the tracking number for a [MINT] 65mm f/3.5 lens in the original box with a hood.

Don't drink and photrio, kids.

On the positive side, I am pretty sure it the lens will see plenty of mileage. The 60mm is my most used lens on the Hasselblad.

I just picked up a Saunders 11x14 V-Track easel, like new, for the ridiculous price of $30. It's so well made, it feels like a luxury item in use. Yes, you can still find great things on Craigslist!

Wow, nice score, and for pennies on the dollar.

There is a reason my wife accuses me of being an enabler!
Enjoy your copy of the lens. Mine has served me very well:

I should probably re-title this "Moderator at Work!

A new Apo-Rodagon N 75mm f/4, very well priced at about half the going price for the equivalent 80 Apo-N. I don’t need to cover anything larger than 6x6, so the 75 will provide a bit more magnification if required for crops on large prints.
