Lol, just sent payment for a Leica IIIf with an Elmar Lens. This will be my first Leica and in doing my research I’m becoming a little concerned. It seems the the IIIf is a gateway drug.

Roger

Camera arrived, it is beautiful and a joy to shoot. Lol, went to my local camera store to get a bag for the Leica and ended up with a really nice Wollensak 8 1/4" f/4.5 Series II Velostigmat barrel lens.

20 rolls of 120 Pan F 50. Shot a roll of 35 yesterday, EI 25, and developed it in D-23 1+3. Loved the results. Hence the desire for some 120.

I bought a Holga 120N (the version with tripod bushing and B capable shutter), in white so I can tell it from the 120S I already have at a glance. Came as a bundle with a roll of HP5+ and a microfiber cloth, still under $40 before tax with free next-day shipping (Amazon Prime).

Saw these posted on a UK Forum and bought two packs of 10. They are Dental X-ray film clips but great for hanging sheet film for drying. The way the clip works pinches well so a good tight grip but only about 1mm into the edge and you can't push them further, They are brilliant

I got 2x expired 36exp of Kodak Ektachrome 100 at a vintage store.

P.S: I also purchased a box of what I thought was 100ft of Tri-x which turned out to be 100 sheets of 4x5. Since I don't like to purchase stuff that I know I won't use, I brought back the box for a refund.

So, I put the box on the counter, explained the situation to the cashier who then PM'd the manager to know if she could reimburse me. While I was waiting, I started looking around to see If I'd missed something. Seconds later, when I looked again at the counter, the box was open. The cashier had opened it to inspect the content... I was internally screaming. I feel guilty now, I should have kept walking to the car and post the box on the B/S/T.

Not your fault the shop was hiring people without even a hint of training or experience, and then putting them on the front desk...

It got me thinking, maybe it had already been opened by a clerk before putting a price tag on it. So, not a big loss.

This morning, I went back to the same store and purchased what you can see on the picture for 8$
The meter needed a wee bit of cleaning but it works just fine.

Nice score! Kind of sad about the 100 sheet package of 4x5 but what can you do.

I just got 4 rolls of 135 Tri-X from a nice person on Craigslist for free.

I just now ordered a pack of stainless wire mesh (1 mm hole, 0.4mm wire size) and a tube of JB Weld Red high temp silicone gasket former from Amazon. Together, these should let me recreate the missing "LOW" filter element in my Super Chromega D color enlarger head. The silicone is rated for 550F continuous, shouldn't get any hotter than that even during a long printing session...

Some metol and sodium sulfite.

A few weeks ago I found a small box of focusing screens for Exacta VX and VXlla for $8 at a thrift store.
Did I really need more focusing screens for the Exactas? Of course I did.

A black Nikon F2 with a non ai 50/2 that once belonged to former sports illustrated and Better Homes & Gardens editor Doug Looney. After having used all of the common 35mm SLR's and a Leica M2 I'm going back to the F2 as my be all end all 35mm SLR.

In my eyes, there is no better 35mm camera. I use an f3 because of the data back, but it stands way behind the f2.

I had an F3 I really liked but I also like the idea of having more than 1 shutter speed if my batteries happen to die.

A few lenses for my Nikon 35mm AF cameras including a PC lens, another Nikon AF camera as back up, Skylight 1A filters, O rings for the Nikonos II camera and for the heck of it the 80mm Nikonos lens. Hey get out there and stimulate the economy while you are sitting on your butt waiting for the pandemic to end.

Photrio is a wonderful enabler for my drug of choice.
