I have a widget that uses Kodak Ektagraphic/Carousel slide projector lenses. What is the shortest effective focal length lens ever made for this system? I currently have a Buhl 1.4" (35mm) EFL Superwide lens for it. Was there ever anything sold that was wider/shorter?
As sort of a follow on to that, I find a lot of Kodak brand lenses around 100mm and then my Buhl Superwide down at 35mm along with a few others just above that EFL. Why is there a big gulf in between? What were the uses back in the day that produced two such different groups of focal lengths?
