What was the MOST BEAUTIFUL camera?

The Kodak Super 620 may not have been the most beautiful but it sure puts any Nikon to shame in this regard. The top of the line Kodak Bantam was another real beauty.

I'm joking around about black cameras but it really depends upon the camera. I had a black Hasselblad but I preferred the silver version. I own a silver Sinar P which I aesthetically prefer over the black P2.

The most beautiful camera in the world though is the Sinar Norma.

The Kodak Signet 40 and the Bell & Howell Foton I've found to be quite beautiful.

I saw a Foton in a dealer's case in Japan a few years ago. I'd like to own one, but he wanted over $2,500 I think, for a set.

beauty is in the eye, obviously. I'd say a leica IIIf but the black Leica II is pretty nice too. basic and classic.

but some of those old things with mohogony and red bellows are real head turners as well...

Hard to say. I love Leica M4-P, but I do not own one. From the ones I have I love the look of the Rolleiflex T and the tinny Kodak Retina Ia (type 013).

All beautiful cameras.

Canon f1n.. Beautiful in a matte black this means business way.

Voigtlander Bessa ii. Wonderful lines.

Kodak bantam. Too bad they did not use 120 film.

But none hold a candle to the alpa 12sw with rosewood grip.

Number 1 has to go to the Pentax SV or H1a.

Some of the old folders were quite stunning. A couple that come to mind are the Kodak Six-20 Monitor, Voigtlander Bessa II, several of the Zeiss Ikontas. The Coffee Can Zeiss Ikoflex is also a beautiful looking camera.

Yes the spotmatic at a beautiful cameras as well.
The Olympus is nice, but the finish is not as good as other cameras. And even with the hot shoe removed, there is still the coupling socket that breaks the lines. I guess if you just look at it from the front.

The OM-1/2 are very nice, but I wouldn't say they are the most beautiful.
That doesn't exist. Each one will have his/her own tastes.

But, which version do you like most: black or silver?

For me personally there are 3, 1 is the werra range, so simple and uncluttered, and very small, the second is the Vitessa barn door range by Voigtlander, and third for me would be the Zeiss Ikon Contessa folder, so tiny fits into any pocket, even when opened up very tiny
