The first camera I ever used was my family's Kodak 126 Instamatic, but the first camera I ever owned was a Polaroid Super Shooter I purchased in 1975.

I have no idea what the first camera I ever used was, but the first camera of my own that I ever used was the Kellogg's Corn Flakes Mini 110. I wanted a camera and a darkroom but my parents never cared about my interests, so when I could get a camera for just the cost of shipping, I did.

Canon AE-1 Program that dad gave me back when I was 15 in 2005, yeah I'm young. He wouldn't let me touch his Yashica LM or 124G, so I got the Canon.

Kodak Brownie box camera. That backwards image in the teeny viewfinder really threw me. I sent the prints out, and they came back very nice.

Brownie Target 620. My Grandfather gave me one for my eighth birthday (that was 67 years ago). I still have it and it works great! I shot a roll of film, and my Dad showed me how to develop and print. He always had a darkroom. I've been doing that ever since. My cameras are a bit newer though. Nikon F's, Mamiya Press 23, Rolleiflex, etc. Still all film except for one simple digital for web purposes.

First camera that I remember using was a Kodak Brownie 127, sometime around 1960.
My mother got it from a camera store that was giving them away as a grand opening promotion.

Bought a lot of film and other supplies from that shop for years afterward, so I guess it was a good deal for them.

Brownie Reflex circa 1947. I am still amazed at how good the prints from that camera were. In 1956 I won a Rolleiflex 3.5 in a raffle for a buck. That got me into learning how to be a pro photog.

a point and shot throwaway my big sis bought me back in 1986 October, for my 10th bday! My next camera was a point and shot digicam back in 199x, then, my "real" try at SLR was the Canon FTQL with a 50mm 1.4 lens, bought at a flea market, for $45! I sold the 50mm 1.4 for around $100, and used the proceeds to get serious, and found a nice Canon XSI with lens, for way under market price, sold it, bought a Canon 5D MKI, loved it, used it, and the rest is history, until I came back to film, in a big way, as in medium format big, lol!

My mum's Brownie Starlet 127 - loved it to bits!!!

Still have it - it takes pride of place in my display cabinet. If I could lay my hands on some 127, I'd happily take it out for a day.

My mom's Bell & Howell 424 movie camera. She loved that thing.

The first still camera I remember using for any period of time was the Minolta SRT-101. I was taught to use it as a Junior in High School so I could be a photographer on our high school yearbook.
