What to do with the extra slides?

I always loved slides back in my early days of photography in the 1970s. A couple years ago I started shooting slide film again. Back in the 70s I shot 35mm ... now I shoot mostly MF. I bought a working Rollei P66E projector and have acquired a number of Magazin 77 trays. My problem is that I've been shooting 6x4.5 and some of my cameras yield 15 exposures while others yield 16. I like to store my slides in trays, but they hold only 30 slides. This works great with my 15 exposure cameras, but if I use my Fuji GA645Wi or my Hasselblad A16 back I end up with an extra slide that doesn't fit in the trays. Back in the day 35mm slides came back from the lab in a plastic or cardboard box. Are there any similar boxes for 6x4.5 and are they still available. I'm thinking I'll just leave the worst slide of 16 out of the trays, but I don't have a good storage option for those "rejects".

Does anyone have the same issue?

Good point!

I just don't like throwing any film out. I'd be happy with some sort of non-keeper storage box.

An old thin cardboard box holding 100 mounts. I guess I could use that in a pinch. Just wondered how people store MF slides other than in trays. Maybe it is more of a mental health issue and I should just let them go.

Make Christmas tree ornaments out of them. Don't have to store them...
Make the last image of a roll a self-portrait, store them in a shoe box, and hope someone discovers them someday.

Your strategy may need to be revisited. If it's not a "keeper", don't mount it. Leave it in its sleeve.

In the meantime, maybe you can find some old recipe card boxes or similar, like the longer plastic trays people used to keep 3.5" floppy disks in.

Small (or any sized) wood craft boxes from craft shops, sometimes also bigger hardware chains (e.g. in Australia, Bunnings). These wooden boxes are unvarnished, just smoothed and ready for whatever use you can put them to.

Can you fit two in the last slot? Then just before showing pull out the odd one.

Printfile also makes pages that fit mounted slides. You could keep them in binders. 2x2 35mm slides even fit in coin collection sheets which can be more economical.

Personally I only mount the best slides and put the rest in normal acrylic sheet binders just like negatives.

How wide are baseball cards? There are plastic sheets for those.

Looks like 3x4 inch, so should pretty much work.

Buy more slide trays. A slide show can be as long or short as one wants.

Just to wrap up this thread, it turns out that Pana-Vue makes pages for 7x7cm slides. I decided to get some of these to hold my non-keepers. Not sure why I hadn't thought of that before, but thanks all for the suggestions.
