what the heck is this?

hi

i picked up this mystery item with a box of cameras. it is some sort of cine camera, popossiblyerhaps from a military aircraft? the black box camera has a frame counter on the side and a frame rate control. sadly it dididn'tome with its lens. however it did have a film cassette inside, a can of kodak panchromatic super-x.xi i have no idea whether this is exposed or not.

any ideas on the identification of this type of camera, im guessing this is 9.5mm guaggauge.

Do you have any pictures? It could be some kind of gun camera, but those were usually 16mm.

Hard to say for sure but it looks like 16mm magazine. GYF also did 8mm too.

16mm GSAP camera; cartridge load 50 foot. Very common camera, but the carts are becoming rare. It is the basisi for the Richter EMP camera (http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail02.asp?productID=196&Cat=17&Cat2=32), designed by Hans Richter, the German Dadist filmmaker.
