I'm using a Sinar F2
I have the following three lenses in shutters:
1) Ilex 90mm Acugon in Copal 0.
2) Schneider Symmar-S 150mm f/5.6 in "Prontor-S"
3) Schneider Symmar 210mm f/5.6 in "Polaroid Copal"

I've used a ruler to measure them, I don't have calipers. First I calibrated my technique by measuring the only one I know, the Copal 0. It came out to be between 34 and 35mm, so that seems right.
The Prontor-S is about 33mm, so that's probably a Copal 0 equivalent.
The Polaroid Copal is about 39mm. This is 2mm short of Copal 1, but it appears to be designed such that that 2mm isn't extremely important. Is this difference acceptable?

Now, I think I need:
1) Sinar Copal 0 Lens Board. Does this need to be recessed?
2) Sinar Copal 0 Lens Board.
3) Sinar Copal 1 Lens Board.

But I'd like it if someone could verify this for me!

As an aside, does anybody know of a source in the UK for Sinar Lens Boards? Second hand is perfectly fine, perhaps desirable due to cost.

Thank you

Martin

You should be OK.

For used lens board check ebay.
Nr. 140 325 169 553 (without the spaces) could be interesting to you.
You have to enlarge one hole and you will have a Copal/Compur 3 board as a spare.

Sounds about right, not sure if you need a recessed board though, I don't use one on any of my 5x4's.

Try Teamwork in Foley Street, for 2nd hand bits. I've made many boards myself for De Vere's, Cambo's etc frm sheet Aluminium,

I currently have homemade (not my home!) lensboards from wood. To be honest I don't really trust them, which is why I want to move to more precision made boards. I'll pop in to Teamwork, it only adds 20 minutes on to my journey into work, which is handy.

Thanks for the eBay auction number, I'll have a look.
