Dear Darkroomlover,

I would like to use my Durst M605 color head (max. magenta setting is 130) for variable contrast BW paper. What settings of Yellow and Magenta correspond approximately to the Multigrade under-lens contrast filters?

I have found the following table:
http://www.rhdesigns.co.uk/darkroom/html/junk1.html#top

Does anybody know if these figures are accurate?
And does one have to change the exposure time when changing contrast settings according to this table (or any other)?

Mike.

check the paper your using, most have a spec sheet that indicate a starting point for that particular paper.

Unfortunately most of my paper was either bought second hand or was given to me and I don't have these specification sheets.
