I think the colour machine were very similar
but used a different process
I've never heard of colour direct positive paper
apart from cibachrome and Polaroid but I'm sure it was not either of these
the photo booth website dose not seem to get updated much and none of the questions seem to be very technical
I believe that there are still colour film booths in Canada so somebody must have some film unless it's just old stuff that was stockpiled
There was a direct positive Kodak color process, type R printing, for printing slides, previous to Cibachrome. I don't know if it would have been used in these machines. . . (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
I remember those prints as being, at their worst, in the 50s, milky and low contrast, which sounds a lot like old photo booth pix...
