What paper ES for scanning?

For years I've used BTZS for creating negatives. I usually print albumen and put 1.45 into the software for the paper ES. Has anyone worked out an ES for a scanner? Should I put the step wedge into the scanner, then use the densitometer function to read it, then create a new "paper?" Or is 1.0 close enough?
