I pulled two of these off the wall in a darkroom I bought this weekend. Figured it to be a wall mount for something photographic. Anyone?

You bought a darkroom?

The device in the picture on the OP is a bracket for a Kodak "bullet" safelight - Model "B". http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/28920-REG/Kodak_1412212_Adjustable_Safelight_Lamp_Model.html

Clive: I did that a few years ago. Commercial Pro had gone digital and I got everything in his darkroom except the room itself. For $200US I brought home a Beseler enlarger, four Schneider Componon lenses, Delta1 sink, trays, tanks, washers, timer, safelights, paper, etc ...

I bought everything in the darkroom that wasn't nailed down. The sink wasn't nailed down but had obviously been built in place. Short of ripping it apart there was no way to get it out of the door. Water control unit, filters and hoses all got stripped and brought home.

I kept digging and finding photo gear under piles of junk. "What's this? Stack of trays. And this? Another enlarger. Under that pile of magazines? A Zone VI print washer!"

The guy was a former architect who obviously loved large format, so I also got tons of books, including the all the Stroebel, Stone and Simmons view camera books. It was a sweet haul.
