Unfortunately I do not have a picture, but I will do my best to describe what I saw at the antique shop today.
From the window it appeared to be a wooden folding/box/plate camera. About 5x7 x2
I asked to see it, the owner said he did not know what it was, but it wasn't a camera.
When I opened it, I noticed a center metal core, with a slit in it, like you would see on a 35mm core for projectable film. Actually, perfectly fit around that, was a yellow 35mm film core! The inside felt like velvet, or some sort of similar material.
There was one circular metal piece on the outside that you could spin, and that would cause the center core to spin. Other than that there was a slit in the top corner from the outside with what appeared to be some sort of light trap, maybe felt. It was a little dark in the store, so I could not see well.
It also had a threaded hole for what I believe is tripod mounting.
I could not find any emblems, engravings, or marking of any kind, in or outside.
Could anyone tell me what this is? My best guess was some sort of antique bulk film loader, but I really don't think that's what it was for.
I will try to go back and snap a few pictures if I have the chance!
