What is this lens, what does it fit?

A friends dad gave him this Russian lens and "handle".

Any idea what it fits
 
If you want to get the stuffings beaten out of you, try carrying this around in public. It'd be better than a drone for that purpose, these days. IMO.
 
Fit would be by the mount adapter on the end of the lens. Aftermarket lenses came as screw thread plus adapter to Pentax, Nikon etc.
 
If I remember correctly this is a 300mm Russian Tele lens made for the Zenit models back in the day (screwmount).

I say try and take it through security at the airport.
 
Not the sort of thing to use in a war zone or any other sensitive area especially these days , unless you want your wife to be a widow.
