That film has a single notch. So I assume that would be the easiest to ID. There are even 3 films from the old list like that notch. So this says sometimes it is not that simple to ID some film with just the notch.
The new Velvia 50 was introduced in 2007. So I do not know how you say it is old. Unless this is different film.
The distance from the edge of the film, the width of the notch at the top, the depth of the notch, the shape of the bottom of the notch all play a part in determining the film type. A single, rounded bottom 1/8 inch / 3.1mm wide was used by many manufacturers as a generic code for special films. I don't remember the distance from the edge.
