It's apparently an option to allow you to automatically change lens plane tilt to correct converging verticals if that wasn't done in-camera, ala view camera or shift lens. Never seen it before; and I've refurbished Durst rigs. Interesting; but it probably never got much use. Of course, once you introduce tilt in this manner, the only way to attempt to keep the entire print in focus is to use a small f-stop and long exposure.
