At times we have all done well and snared good bargains. An AIS 28/3.5 Nikkor with four Nikkor B&W filters for $30. A Rolleicord Vb for $95. A Nikon N65 (aka F65) in pristine condition with lens, filters, a fitted case and other accessories for $50. A Nikkormat EL with a 50/1.4 Nikkor SC for $55. Hasselblad bits and pieces (in the good old days when I owned 'blads) for less than $25.

Late in my life I have concluded it is best to buy fewer items and pay more for good quality. And use the gear.

Segueing... I particularly like the Japanese ebay ads that say 'get it before it is gone' in the description and/or headline.
I just bought an N80 for $25. Shipped.

USPS charges $15.50 flat rate medium box.
So... you got that camera for under $10! And the N80 is a superb camera.

Dagnabit why is camera gear so expensive!

There are still deals out there. Even on eBay.

I hear the N80 is the poor man’s F100.

Less than that if you figure that eBay takes another $1.20 off that $10 sales price.

"Extremely rare. Difficult to find."

... and seller has half a dozen of them.
