Cant wait to see the the woody! I haven’t done anything quite that ambitious but painting Hawkeyes is addictive. Here’s what I have done. The second from the left was intended to resemble a Kodak film box.

There is a lot of nice work in this thread.

Was disassembly and cleaning difficult? My aunt just dropped off a bag of 3 old cameras that we believe belonged to a Great Aunt of mine; one is a Brownie Hawkeye. I intend to clean and use them, though I probably won't paint. And... they came with a few spools

No. Diassembly consists of 8 screws total. Petapixel has a very detailed instructional page here.
