Yeah- it would be easy to get some thin wood veneer and turn it into a woody- veneer the lower half, and paint the top half cherry red.How about a Thunderbird? The ones from that era had (IIRC) distinctively Ford colors. A Plymouth Belvedere would be a more similar car, though -- sedan with a large 6 or V-8. Or you could go with a wood scheme, like a Ford "Woody" Panel Delivery.
Animal-print (cheetah, leopard, something like that).
Oh- you should totally do one in faux animal fur - a fuzzy Brownie would be a hoot!not animal print, but a black and white checkerboard crossed my mind.

How do you paint on Bakelite?
Woody-style would look good on a Tesla... or a Rolls Royce!
You have a Chevy, now you need a Ford. Maybe paint it deep Ford blue and put a couple of white racing stripes on it like the GT40 and Cobras.
If it is a Canadian made Brownie Hawkeye, perhaps a red and white maple leaf?I have a Brownie with French markings; made in France.
Make it the color of a baguette? Tri-color?
