What fuel Leica hatred...

From: https://luxatic.com/top-8-most-expensive-camera-lenses-in-the-world/

Then there is this lens: The Leica 1600mm f/5.6 Telephoto

This massive telephoto lens before you was specially created for Sheikh Saud Bin Mohammed Al-Thani of Qatar, who paid exactly two million dollars for it a couple of years ago. Since this lens is a one-off model, we don’t know too many things about it, because no one actually had the chance to review it, but you could see a prototype at Leica’s headquarters.

Two Million Bucks and you can show up everyone.

I like that the photographer with the Sigma lens had a jacket that matched the fabric covering his tripod legs. Quite the ensemble.

I bought my Leica M4 cameras new in late 1960s, so about 60 years later, cameras cost about $10-$20 a year. Just had my first major repair on my 38 yr old MB 300D...cheapest car I ever owned. Sometimes buying quality (Nikons, Canons, Rollei TLR, an Hassys) is cheaper in the long run. My only mistake was my fragile, short lived Hasselblad 1000F, replaced by 2000FCM. Since original Leitz is long gone, i can’ speak for newer cameras.

TheFlyingCamera, you are absolutely correct. For the second coming one would need a Hasselblad.
