85-B filter.jpg Looks like your typical threaded filter, but the flange is not threaded.
The flange has 6 cuts in it....i suppose to make it spring loaded.
What system does this fit...does it have a name.?

I am going to Sell/Free the filter and want to know what to call it.
Thank You

Most likely a Series filter in a specific size mounting ring.
But that's all my Magic 8-ball says, without pictures to look at.

A push-on flter.
That (I guess) in addition got a female thread to take a lens shade or further filter.

I think all my push-on filters are basically dsigned this way.

I once owned push-on filters, similar to the one in your image, for a point & shoot camera.

As mentioned, it’s a push-on filter, meant to fit over the lens’s front ring, like a lens cap. For describing, measure the inside diameter of the segmented ring.

I thought there was, maybe, a Part-B.
So these stay on the lens OK.?
