A roll of Fuji NPS 160C in 120. Practicing for a color portrait next week.

sweet! hope you can get it processed locally

i have about 200+ sheets i will be making retina prints or processing into b/w because no place local will process it
and i am not flush with cash to ship 1 or 2 or 3 states away to have it processed for 4-5$ a sheet

When x-processing C-41 I learned that you need to over expose by 2 stops to get a decent density because of the orange base, if that isn't pre-planned, it's very difficult to get a good image from my experience even using a scanner.

Best to wait till the funds are available to process the color. Selling prints to pay for the processing is the best option I've found so long as I make sure they are good enough that people will buy them.

I was trying out a 'new' camera and shot a roll of Artista EDU 200 ISO in it this weekend.
Absolutely nothing came out. Well a bunch of black messed up garbage with the occasional light areas.
Unfortunately, I can't tell what is camera and what is developer. My chemicals were a little old and stored in a very hot garage so I already know that was at least a part of the problem. The other part may be either a light leak (that I cannot find) or sticky shutter. I'll take another look at the shutter tonight and then try another roll but will develop with fresh chemicals this time. Fingers crossed. XXXXX I really like the camera so I really want to make it work.

Actually, density is not the main problem. Contrast is. You might consider push processing a couple of stops too.

Right here in my own darkroom. It's a very inexpensive way of doing it, as long as you have a good calibrated thermometer. Especially sheets, where real cost comes down to much less than $5 for an 8x10.

Why process perfectly good C41 sheets as B&W when there are probably a whole bunch of us here who would offer you good money for them? Enough that you could go buy EVEN MOAR B&W film to put in your coffee.

I'd happily trade FP4 for NPS sheets 1:1, if they're just going to get done in B+W anyway. Heck, I'll just get B+H to drop ship them to your place and you can post me the NPS...

the tonality processing color films in coffee or as retina prints can't be matched through any other means.

Thomas, i could probably do that, i know it is perty easy and costs pennies a sheet ..
its a lot of trouble for me though ... i dont' want to deal with transporting
my chemical waste instead of draining it ..
i don't do kitchen processing and i don't drain anything if i can help it ...

Ektachrome EPP (100 Plus) in 120, before that EPR (64) in 120. Now I'm weeping because these are among the last rolls of Ektachrome in my freezer. I love older Ektachromes (like 64T, 160T, 64, 100 plus etc.)

Another trip, shorter this time, 4 days in Scotland so only 10 rolls.

1 Ilford SFX200
3 llford Delta 100
1 Ilford Delta 400
1 APX 400
1 Cine Still
3 ORWO UN74 in IXMOOs (Only remembered to take those at the last minute, no flying so no problems with security, they really don't like IXMOO cassettes)

Two bodies again but both M2s this time 50mm f1.5 Sonnar & 90mm f2.8 Elmarit.
Problem is I'm still scanning the last batch!!
It's becoming a Winogrand situation.
Last planned trip for a while so I should be able to catch up.

Yesterday morning I shot a roll of 10/1992 expired Kodak Plus-X 120 in my Koni Omega, and a roll of T-max 100 35mm in my Nikon F to test out my Nikkor-S 35mm F=2.8. Today it was a roll of 06/1998 expired T-max 400 120, again in the Omega.

TXT 8x10" (I've still got a few sheets left), still life indoors. Planning to develop it in ABC for printing on Azo (have more sheets of that).
