Hey Stone, what are those slides made of? Looks like plastic or phenolic or something.
I've got 2 spare 8x10 slides to cut down, wondering whether I should mix and match and cut the metal or plastic. I've got some nice proper tinsnips, but they have a habit of making metal curl when I cut it, or I could sacrifice the sharpness of my paper-guillotine but get a better cut...
That is a clean cut. I used an x-acto knife and the edges were rough, it didn't look nice on the negs. Sometimes I lost track of which part was exposed and ended up double exposing it. I really don't use it much anyway.
more neopan 1600 and classicpan
That Neopan 1600 is nice film. I wish they still made it. Some of my best portraits have been photographed with that film. Something about that beautiful grain and tonality that just works for me. I've used it with Ilford DD-X, Pyrocat, and now 777, and it just sings in all of those soups. Six rolls left...
I just filled a folder with Arista EDU 200. I've never shot either the film or this folder before so I have no idea what to expect. I only know the film is cheap. lol

Size?
I can only afford 4x5. I was once given 2 sheets of in date Portra 400 in 8x10 and, although delighted with the results, the lab. costs brought me back down to earth with a bump! Henceforth 8x10 = monochrome for me.
