As for the film, I will ask the lab if it can take a look without damaging it.
If you have a medium format camera you can just do that yourself inside the camera as an alternative
The trailing end of 120 is not fastened and would jam up when you attempt to roll it off (that film would be very curly).
I think you're better off taking a spare 120 spool and the film into the darkest room you can, at night, and doing it by hand. You don't need a darkroom - just a room that's very, very dark.
I have done this but only with fresh film.
