Sweet!

The 138 will go up in the attic for now. A good reason not to sell it! And as my wife an daughter say: "If you buy another camera we have to move to a larger house." And in a larger house I might have space for both!

Matti,
I don't know how old your daughter is. This is a second marriage for us. Eventually her two kids, my step children, went off to college, married and started families of there own. The same house now is much larger with two people than it was with four. The son's room is my wife's painting studio. The daughter's room is the guest bedroom. 11x13 feet of the basement is now my darkroom with a 4x5 Saunders 4550XLG/VCCE Enlarger and the 138 converted to 8x10. Good things can come with time or not.

Your not wrong. I got a hell of a fright when I took the head of my L1200. It goes without saying that transporting the column is best accomplished by two people with one person cradling the head to avoid possibly bending the column. I think the only way to align a base board mounted L1200 "fore and aft" is to use shim stock and then your options are fairly limited.
