You should be able to find more pictures if you google "camera lens fungus" or something along those lines. The photo kerne provided is not really the norm for fungus and I'm not even sure that's what it is in that picture. But fungus looks more like spider webs and I have only ever seen it start growing from the edge of the lens into the middle, not starting from the middle and going outwards.
Open the shutter. Look through the lens, do you see anything except clear glass? It often helps to shine a small flashlight through it. Haze will appear as an even film. Fungus will appear as a patchy, mottled deposit covering some or all of the internal surfaces. Fungus can also have a kind if filamentary/branching structure.
