I've had this on my flickr for quite some time, and after getting a lot of positive feedback, I wanted to see what you folks thought.

Camera: "Fluffy" 8x10 camera
Lens: Fujinon 300mm f5.6
Aperture: F5.6
Speed: 1 second
Film: Arista Halftone film (litho)

I think there's a lens Jim Galli doesn't have.

It's nice and sharp where it needs to be... and the softness outside the hyperfocal area really helps to emphasize the subject. Beyond that, I'll let the LF shooters give you a more detailed response.

It has an absolutely amazing three-dimensionality about it. It's also fairly timeless, could be from twenty or thirty years ago. The out-of-focus patterns are interesting ( I refuse to use that b word). I hope it's all analog???

Oh yes, all analog. The actual contact print has a much better tonal range as you can imagine. BTW, this is also the first shot I ever took with an 8x10 camera. Like literally the first sheet I ever slid in.

It's a lovely portrait. I think the "flaws" work well for you here, makes for an emotional and mysterious portrait.

Good portrait even if a bit dark and contrasty on my crt. I'll tell you one thing I don't have, and that's an 8X10 camera I could call 'fluffy'! I've got hoary and beasty and fatty, but no fluffy.
