So I have the opportunity to buy some old MF gear but the person really doesn't know the value. So they want me to offer them a price.

Heres the gear (all of it has basically seen no use. Even has the original manuals.)

- Mamiya C330 + 80mm f/2.8 (Front cap)
- Mamiya 55mm f/4.5 (front & rear caps + case)
- Mamiya 180mm f/4.5 (front & rear caps + case)
- Sekonic Studio Deluxe (model l28 C2) + case & manual
- Vivitar Auto 253
- Some Toshiba color filters
- Grip

So what do you think it's worth?

If needed I can post some pics.

If this is your way of advertising the kit for sale I'll offer you $200 for all.

I'd suggest that you look at closing prices of ebay auctions.
Will do.

Condition matters and Mamiya TLR stuff is selling for peanuts...I'd offer no more than $ 450

here's a similiar outfit that sold on ebay

Ah, thank you.

If this is your way of advertising the kit for sale I'll offer you $200 for all.

Not advertising.

It is worth what the market will bear. What you need to know is the condition of the equipment and if it is operational. Make a low ball offer like $250 and work up from there. I would think from doing a little research my self that that set up is about $400-500. You also need to consider, is it going to need a CLA?

The Mamiya C equipment ranges over a 40 year production period. The 55mm is going to be a Seiko shutter lens. The 80mm could be any of five versions. If it is contemporaneous with the C330 then a Seiko shutter would be normal. The 180mm could be a chrome Seikosha shutter model, or the Seiko shuttered plain 180 or the 180mm Super. I would not pay a lot for the chrome Seikosha shutter lenses. The Mamiya grips vary a lot in type. The pricing suggestions seem reasonable for fully functional items.

The exact equipment set will govern the price. See http://grahampatterson.home.comcast.net/~grahampatterson/grahamp/mfaq/m_faq.html for all the Mamiya permutations.

You could look up KEH.

Jeff
Did that earlier.

Doesn't look like it needs a CLA. I ran a roll through it so I'll see how that turns out.

Here are some pics.

(I was using the Voigtlander VC II to meter stuff when testing the C330 out)
