I'm hoarding film-holders, for example. I don't consider that GAS....could be in denial though....

I hoarded a bunch of Rodinal before Agfa went belly up. Not one of my better investment ideas, although I did sell one bottle for $40 before it came out again. Shoulda sold it all.

But you didn't waste your money. It is still usable, and the price probably didn't fall since you bought it.

I've got a fair chunk of 4x5 in the freezer, but most of that is out of date odds and sods that I have got cheaply, rather than deliberate hoarding. I have, however, got 100 110 cartridges due to be reloaded with 16mm tri-x and plus-x. Twenty would have been enough to get over the inevitable failures when cracking them open to reload but the price for 100 was so cheap that I did the big purchase. The supply seems to have dried up now so I probably did the right thing but it still seems to be way too many.

I hoard film and malt whisky, the problem with the latter is: someone keeps drinking it!

I whored Forte paper in an effort to put off the inevitable- having to learn to use (and like) a new paper.
I may start buying film in quantity since it has become a long drive to get more...

"Hoarding" or buying in bulk? Well...when the discontinuation of E100G and E100VS was announced, I picked up about 700 rolls in 35mm and 120 format ("securing supplies," if you will, for a two year-plus project). Generally, though, in order to "write down" the cost per roll, I generally buy my Pan F+, FP4+, HP5+, and Tri-X in 100 roll lots (and will probably do the same in the future with Velvia and Provia). Hoarding? No...not really... lol

I wouldn't say hoard per se, but I have a few rolls of Fortia SP 50 that I bought new the last year it was available. I've been told I could sell them for good money, but I prefer to shoot it instead for special occasions.

It is not hoarding if one actually uses it...

All of it? I was going to ask if you still had any left after your post in StoneNYC's thread. Should not have waited...

I still have all the Tech Pan, I didn't whore it out. I was just having fun with the spelling in one of the previous posts... ;-)

The above was my film in my freezer stash back in 2007. I got rid of some of these films, but added much more. This is my dedicated film freezer now below(its no longer just a box inside a deep freeze). Yes I am a hoarder, but its a worthy cause.

Not sure why, but I seem to be acquiring Wollensak LF lenses and shutters at an alarming rate.
I think it must be to keep them out of the hands of hoarders.

I don't stockpile paper, film or chemistry as those items don't keep. I prefer fresh film, paper and chemistry. I do stockpile working cameras and incandescent lamps.

I do not hoard; I buy up newly discontinued film or film on sale to keep it from the hoarders. A difference with a distinction.

I don’t have that much film… let’s see, I have 300-ish feet of Vision3 stock, plus like 15 already pre-rolled canisters, and about 100 feet of Agfa Aviphot 200 I’ve cut down to 120 from 70mm, and I have 35 feet of Foto 100 in 120, and 10 sheets of plus-x 3x4, and 100 sheets of Foto 100 3x4… after I do my Agfa cutdown this summer, I’ll probably have 50 more feet of Aviphot in 120, and like… 200 feet of Aviphot in 5 inch roll… oh GOD, I AM a hoarder!
