What digital projector? LCD vs DLP?

I've a budget from my photography group for a projector for showing tutorials and slideshows of photographs.

Can anyone suggest a budget model [under 800 euro] and if DLP is the way to go?

Fintan,

I have used both Epson and Infocus projectors and found them to be good, easy to setup and use. As far as I know both have offerings for less than €800.

Have you checked out the likes of Elara.ie, Komplett.ie or Microaid.ie? I would think that pixmania.com probably have them too.

No first hand experience, but I've been told DLP quality far exceeds that of LCD.

The only thing you really need to watch out for is the price of new bulbs (or the guarantee they originals have on them) - sometimes they come in more than the cost of the projector!!!
