Wow! That's wonderful. My digital cameras are reportedly good for video (4K ?) but I've ignored that because the only reason I photograph is to make prints...but I think videos would sometimes relate well..

Yes, you could certainly edit, score, color grade and deliver 4K files with Resolve, but there is a bit of a learning curve (if I can do it anyone can) and the hardware requirements above HD can be rather expensive, depending on what you want to do.
I have a 8 core Dell workstation with 32GB of Ram, a 4GB nVidia video card and a 1TB SSD and that's JUST enough to do HD without too many corrections.
Of course, with Resolve, you can work with 720P HD proxies to do everything and only switch to 4K at the end when you render out. It takes a while to render, but it will do it and map all your corrections to the 4K file faithfully...
