I recently bought a lot of 35mm film equipment for two lenses I wanted and these were with them. I shoot only 35mm so I'm stumped. They look like backs but I have idea what they attach to. There's no name or brand just a serial number. Anyone know what camera it's for (if they are backs) ?
These are backs for 6x6, at least one. In the second picture you can see the numbers 12 and 24, the number of exposures for 120 and 220 film. The red dot in the film rails is the start mark for those films. Could you show us the other side?
Yup! They're roll-film backs! Question is, Whose? Are there any other markings? Strange characters could be Cyrillic the written Russian language for Kiev/Zenith 66's. And there's no end of other makes of roll film SLR's they could fit; Kowa, and my memory's just gone blank! Or they could be for a 'field camera (for glass plates/sheet film).
I'd not expect backs to have that thing in the middle - I'd expect empty hole or hole with dark slide visible. So waiting for photos of the other side.
