What are the "schools" of photography? e.g. american tradition vs....

The chart is NOT in Nov 1970 Popular Photography.

Still looking.

this chart, but unusable, low resolution jpg, only few names readable.

there is a confusion "movement" and "school". As mentioned in the thread, in arts, a "school" is related someone and his workshop where his style is reused. A "movement" is a kind of aesthetic. A "school" is obviously localized, for instance Brueghel the Elder ways of painting were implemented by disciples around and after him, and is also called Antwerpen school or 17th. c.. Flemish school. A local school can spread its style across wide regions, for instance 13th. Sienna school around Duccio spawned a so-called italo-byzantine style.

Photography is a limited medium compared to painting, so "movement" are few.

only few names readable.

I could make out many of them, actually. Not that hard, since it mostly features the usual suspects.

Can't figure out the legend, though, so not sure why some names, like Frank Lloyd Wright, P. T. Barnum, Victor Hugo and George Bernard Shaw, appear on this chart.

That’s the chart I was hoping to see more clearly.
