Hi OGs, I think the world is not gonna be the same after this war.

What is the one key takeaway for a photography career that you guys wanted to give to the younger generation? Especially in film photography, since we're living in a really digital world.

The world is never quite the same after each second that passes.

I don't see any connection between the present geopolitical situation (discussion of which is mostly out of scope of this forum; please see the forum rules) and analog photography as such.

My advice for a career would be to get a good education, and to enjoy photography, which does not mean the two should necessarily be combined. If photography happens to weave into your career at some point, that's great. Don't bank on it.

If you're determined to make a career out of photography, don't get yourself stuck on the analog bit and just use whatever approach works to get the job done. That, of course, will depend on the job, which is entirely up to you to choose. All I know is that the 'jobs' that might benefit from an analog approach, which boils down to a subset of fine art photography, are very difficult to sell. Which brings me back to my earlier point.

PS: if you're an artist, you will likely not heed any sensible advice.
