Good morning, i'm at the first experience with collodion

Excuse my ugly english, i don't speak it very well.
I have experienced a problem in my first attempt , but i believe that the problem is quite easy to resolve.

Reading many other site i have read many discordant facts ... like many other things in photography  .

My plate have no image at all but only fog . Sweet gray !

I didn't excited the silver bath . In some istruction i didn't find this .... but i believe that is necessary (now).

My silver bath is quite ok (i follow the istruction of a kit). PH4 and SG 1.081 ( the kit suggest between 1.078 and 1.088.... Quinn 1.067-1.072)

I use the POE BOY formula ... there is problem in excite the bath with a glass plate with this collodion ?

A quarter plate in 500ml (16.9 oz) of silver bath !

Now in Italy we have too hot , something like 42° C (107° F !!!!) the temperature can couse problem ?

Quinn write " put it in the bath overnight" .... how much time? 8 hours?

thanks ......
