Hi there,

Most probabbly has been linked before, so apologies, but I stumbled on an entry in the Profoto blog about a photographer called Ian Ruhter who shot snowboarders using wet plate collodion - on location, up a mountain and with action.

Interesting read, especially about the amount of flash units they used for the shoots! Pity there wasn't more about the process or how he got the darkroom up the mountain etc but getting a commercial shoot with an "alt" process is awesome.

Ooops, heres the link:

Is "snowbarding" a marriage of snowboarding and bombarding? That must be one helluva ride!! :D

Wow, this is truly awesome.

That first photograph of the "stall" has completely changed my conception of what is possible with wet plate. Absolutely awesome!
