WP Kit and tail board camera
Had every intention of starting this but time has not been on my side and it will not be on my side for a while. Better to get rid of this stuff now so someone can use it.
Kit from Bostic and Sullivan-the 4x5 complete kit bought in February 2010.
350ml solution containing 60% Collodion, 40% Ether
150ml Cadmium Bromide and Ammonium Iodide in 95% Grain Alcohol
250ml 10% Silver Nitrate Solution (1.08 specific gravity standard)
100ml Glacial Acetic Acid (to adjust pH of Silver Nitrate bath as needed)
1 liter Bostick & Sullivan Ferrous Sulfate Developer (use 1:1 or 1:3)
1000g Sodium Thiosulfate Fixer (call for info on other fixer options)
250ml Pre-mixed Sandarac Varnish
3 Amber Glass bottles for storing mixed solutions
Plastic Bottle for storing Fixer
Alcohol Lamp for warming glass plates, varnishes and solutions
Hydrometer 1.00 - 1.20 for maintaining the silver nitrate bath
Funnel 4.25"
100ml Graduated Cylinder, Tempered Glass
2 Plastic Droppers
pH Testing Strips
No item in this kit has been used. I opened the graduated cylinder, and hygrometer to check for breakage. I did the same with the empty amber bottles. Everything else is in the sealed bag.
Sensitizing tank with plate dunker no lid though. made by star camera company.
It is clear. I was going to build my own box for it. That did not happen either.

Burns me to sell this stuff but I will not be using it, and no use letting it go to waste.

Tail Board camera
5x7 Agfa Ansco.
No idea what condition the bellows is in
Rear tilt only
Front face is drilled for an air shutter. Wood is in good condition and would be an easy project camera.

Would like to sell it all together but will separate the camera from the kit and tank. I will not break up the tank.
Kit and Tank $200us + shipping (Hazmat so must ship UPS)
Camera $100
Will ship internationally but will NOT lie on forms.

I am having issues posting pictures. Please PM an email address for pictures. If I can figure out the picture posting issue I will post pictures.

That's a good price for the WP chemicals and the tank. I've had good success with the B&S kit. Although, if the tank is larger than 4x5, then the buyer may need to add more silver solution to fill it up. Too bad you weren't able to try wet plate... I was instantly hooked after making my first plate. It's a fun and very hands-on process. With the kit, all you need to get started is plates (I thought the kit comes with some) and a modified sheet film holder to accept plates (easy to do).

I'm about a month or two into doing wet plate at home and have been using the B&S kit with good results. I've also been using Start Camera Company silver and fixer tanks and they've been good so far. This is a good price for the kit and tank, but people should understand that the tank described in the ad is not a sensitizing (silver) bath but a fixer bath. A silver bath is completely enclosed and light tight. The fixing can be done outside the darkbox or darkroom and it's fun to watch the image emerge -- hence it's being clear with no lid.

That is assuming that you are using KCN (Potassium Cyanide) as your fixer. I chose not to use KCN because of its toxicity, I'm using rapid fix with good results. I'm not sure if you'd want to use the tank for fixing if you're using sodium thiosulfate or rapid fix, just a regular tray works fine. The tank can be used for silver if a box is built for it like stated it the ad.

Update again:

I have to close this sale because I have big hoops to jump through to ship. This sucks. Though I do have to say the folks at ups are nice to work with.
