Hey Kim. Welcome and post often.
I’d love to see a picture of Brett eating Pepper 30 as he claimed he did.
Maybe a shot by you of the house.
Welcome to Photrio.
There are a fair few Weston fans here on Photrio, so I expect you will get a good response.
Probably from a few posters you know (Merg Ross?).
We appreciate your signing up.
How about a photo of you holding a photo of your dad in one hand and your grandpa in the other, while standing in the darkroom Edward used. Bonus points if both photos were taken by you and/or your dad.

Welcome Kim! I can't think of any suggestions yet, but that darkroom. Just wow. What an absolute treasure.Hey Juan!
I am new to this so hopefully I am responding the correct way. I will look for an image in front of the house but I will attach her an image of me and my wife in Edward Weston's darkroom on Wildcat Hill. We still live here today and have kept it in tact. Like a living museumView attachment 283509
Welcome to Photrio
I think a photo of you in Edward's darkroom (or the photo you've posted) would be very appropriate as an illustration of your legacy.
Or perhaps a group of photos, if they exist, showing your grandfather, dad, uncle and you in the space.
Welcome Kim! I can't think of any suggestions yet, but that darkroom. Just wow. What an absolute treasure.
Hi Kim. I think you should go with an image that is close to your heart. If your Grand Father's image of Pepper #30 is the one, then great. That pepper is probably responsible for a lot of people getting into creative photography. It's so recognisable. If a photograph does exist of it being eaten, even better!I look forward to your book being published! Cheers and Welcome!
Maybe no picture. Just a very classy "WESTON" embossed in gold on the hardcover.
Hi Kim,
Fifty maybe fifty-one years ago during a vacation in California my wife and I happened on an exhibition of your grandfather's photographs at The Friends of Photography in Carmel. Not knowing who he was i remarked "look how good his prints are compared to what we get from the camera store, he must have his own darkroom". Upon returning home I bought all the stuff to set up a beginner's darkroom. Several years later a local photography organization sponsored a lecture, exhibition and juried show with your father being the featured photographer and juror. I won Best of Show and an Honorable Mention. I still have the signed poster of the event. During the years my interest in photography has grown as have my equipment and darkroom and i am more active than ever thanks that happenstance one day in Carmel.
My suggestion is not to put a photograph on the cover but under the title a family tree chart.

I like the cabbage leaf.
Its funny you mention about Pepper 30. The book was almost titled "Who ate Pepper 30?" There was always the debate between Cole and Brett to who actually ate the famous vegetable!
Please, Kim, don't take these bozos seriously. Are you writing a whodunit or a comedy or a memoir? The pepper incident might make for an interesting chapter, it is not a whole book. You have an interesting story to tell, with anecdotes about people we are interested in and insights into what made them tick.Hi Kim:
THAT is the perfect title and have a picture of a plate with just seeds and a stem on it
Good to see you here.
John
