I know that this is a bit 'out' there:

I saw a guy shooting 4x5 yesterday by the GO train tracks approaching Union station, was that you ? You were dressed in black, I think the jacket and tuque were at least ...

The camera looked like a black (or at least dark) field camera which was mounted on a wooden tripod.

What were you shooting ?

btw I was on the GO train coming in from the west and my girlfriend yells there's a guy shooting large-format ....

Just thought that it'd be interesting to know if he's a forum member ...

Probably just someone surveying for the railroad.

Sorry, couldn't resist. That's the question I'm asked most often (closely followed by, "Are you making a movie?")

The Shen Hao photographer identified himself on anoth LF website, thanks ...

I saw him too. I was driving. Being a hick from Thunder Bay, I was trying my damndest not to get killed while my partner Barb tried to give me directions. I was going to turn around and drive by and yell "APUG" to see if I got a response. By the time I thought of this, I was several blocks away on a one-way street (at least I was going the right way).
