Wephota FO 5 - strange effects

After using an old ORWO FO5 film, expired perhaps 30 years ago, I tried with its newer incarnation made by Wephota. And got three strange effects:

- most exposed parts look like not fixed, in reflecting light they are milky grey, regardless how long in fixing bath; this is visible mostly from the base side

- there is an irregular silver frame around the edges - its width depends on how long the film was developed (in Adox R09)

- the films colour fixing bath to yellow (however without affecting fixing)

All three effects are replicable. I'm just curious...

looks like exposed to light, solarization. A bit different because F0 ist a technical film ...

solarization - this also came to my mind - but the areas are not any less dense...

Solarisation: you rather mean the Sabattier-Effect (Pseudo-Solarisation)

Maybe my LED safe-light is not safe enough (and creates Sabattier effect)?

The O in FO means orthochromatic. It can be processed with red light.

BTW the 5 means gradation 5.

I know. Just thinking... for gaining a Sabattier effect, you need to expose the film to the actinic light while developing. Apart from a sudden bright idea that might have came to my mind, only safe light was in place - and the effect on the film is reproducible, while bright ideas are very rare. Anyway, there is no trace of fogging on less-/under-exposed areas.
