SOLD. Obviously well used M3 from around 1956 according to the SN, no body cap, non-Leica strap included. Don't know when it was converted to single stroke. Bought about 5 years ago and have put 40+ rolls of B&W through it along with some color negative film, too. Have not encountered any trouble. The seller said there could be some separation in the viewfinder but that it focused well and that has been my experience. He suggested it would benefit from a CLA. I haven't done it but I think it would. Frame spacing is tight but no overlaps. Speeds are old-style. Shutter sounds fine and the exposures have been good but untested with equipment. The vulcanite is rough. I believe it has a ceramic film pressure plate, which could potentially cause static discharge marks on film in cold, dry weather. I haven't seen it but I try to stay away from cold weather. Apparently DAG can replace it with a back with a steel pressure plate. If this were 1968 and it was a car I would call it a "beater," but then I had a lot of fun back then in beaters and have enjoyed this camera in my semi-dotage until a used Leica SL Typ 601 stole my heart away. I am not shooting film these days so this belongs in someone else's hands. This is sold "As Is," just the way I bought it, for $750.00. Payment by PayPal. USPS Priority Mail shipping in US to registered PayPal address included. Please PM if questions.SOLD
