Ok everyone so really enjoying the 553 - but found a weird problem today. When tripping the shutter and looking through the rear flaps I see that the rectangular cover right behind the lens mount with the shutter cocking turn screw in the middle was tilted at a slight angle. After maneuvering it back into level place it seems to stay put since the drive screw goes through the middle but it looks like the retaining screw is missing or at least there is no more screw head - should I be worried about this piece flailing around and anchor it with a screw or epoxy or just push it back down and hope for the best

I’ll try and snap a pic but it’s a rather flimsy cover  thanks!

Epoxy sounds like a bad idea waiting to happen.

Not only that but REALLY bad idea.
If it's a screw can you see if there's the threaded section remaining in that position. If there isn't not all you would
have to have is the thread size & length to find a replacement.
If the threaded section is still in there, you can try using a small screwdriver to just unscrew it. Frequently
if the head is gone there's no torque on the threads, so easy, peasy. If it is there it's more of a challenge, ask
Shutterfinger here on the site.

Thanks Sirius, John,

I'll try to back any screw pieces out and find a replacement I think - right now the cover is staying in place but tough to see without removing the film back and rolling the rear flaps open. Thanks for the advice
