Hi Gang, any lith printers out there recognize these weird black haloed spots all over my print. Doesn’t happen every print just sometimes. I spoke to Tim Rudman about it and he said he had also encountered them before but never found a cure. He said it’s definitely not some sort of pepper fog. He chalked it up to batch inconsistency Forte was well known for. Problems straight printers never noticed but lith printers did. Could it be some sort of contamination caused by a glove with traces of fixer on it? Or some other contamination? It looks subtle in the pic I attached but in person it easily ruins the print. There must be a hundred of them or so on this 16x20 print..
thanks,
